JR has been drawing painting and cartooning seriously since childhood, often to the chagrin of his teachers and parents.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration advertising before striking out to answer his true calling as a children's book illustrator.

He brings over ten years of experience to the process of bringing excellent and whimsical creative projects to completion on time and ready for publication.

JR's collaboration and production skills allow him to work very effectively with editors, art directors, writers, designers and other members of any creative team. His number one concern is the creation of the best product possible.
